I'm looking for a shell for my OR DCLB. Please share your brand, model info and pics. Also it would be great to know which other brands were considered before making a decision. Thanks for helping a newbie.

2nd Leer 180. Plenty of room for bikes, sleeping inside, and lots of stuff. I also have a LED light bar in the middle which reaches from front to back-this has been clutch for camping.

Century Cap. I got the fancy flip up and slide windows, the roof rack, and the single lock rear window. My only real complaint is the rear window single lock. It is a little loose on one side and sometimes rattles (which is tough to hear from the cab unless all the windows are down and no music is playing). It also is a little annoying that it has five, countem!, five locks. Six if you count the tail gate lock. Takes forever and a day to lock it up but at least it does. Also, if I'm feeling nit picky, the "third brake light" is not up to par with the rest of the truck. It is kind of weak and cheap looking but does it's job.

I am happy with the way I have it optioned even if it cost an arm and a leg (3K). Sometimes I wonder if I would have been happier with sliding drawers and a bed rack, but I think this is, in general, more versatile. And I love that I can go mountain biking, then head down to the beach and lock expensive bikes out of sight.

I have since traded the Tacoma in, but I was extremely happy with the cap!

Leer 100XR, sliding/removable front window, carpet, Thule racks and remote lock. I’ve had mine for almost a year and love it. Use my truck ten times more with it. Expensive mod but worth it!!!

I was looking at the ARE Z myself as I can get it with windoors for the same price as a stock leer 100XR (2 grand). The ARE's bodylines look worse, however. Trying to find a Ranch dealer as 2K is alot to pay for a cap.

Debated over ARE or Leer but Snug top took the trophy. Better quality inside and and outside. replacement parts are cheaper. and life time warranty.

The only thing that's holding me back from getting a topper is there caring capacity of the shell, I've seen folks with RTT mounted to the roof of the shell and I'm a bit hesitant to do that as the most I've seen is about 250#
