TRD Pro Grille for $140?

So, at least a few of you have had success with this seller?

Tracking says item was delivered and also is being shipped back to seller! Think I rolled the dice and lost.

 

Yes. This is the only seller that I would recommend. You’re taking chances with anyone else IMO. If it was delivered, how is it being sent back?

 

Where did you get your front bumper/winch/lightbar?

 

Was with the truck when I bought it lol I’m lazy, but It’s a slimline bumper, I know hefty fab out of Colorado sells them at a decent price.

You probably sell more than me. I last sold a Mac for $700 and they held my funds.

 

I re-ordered from areyourshop-a since it seems several people on here have ordered from them with success and I already received a Express tracking number from them. Also, they have over 92k feedback and have been in business since 2005 so they have a reputation to keep. It’s costs $40 more then the Malaysia seller, but at least I am done dealing with the hope of receiving a grill or LED lights...

 

Got my “gift” today

 

They are sending you a picture of their corp office that they can now afford with all the money they took from everyone!

 

Yes, they emailed me right after the purchase to make sure I had a compatible truck. Once done, there were no real tracking updates stateside, but it showed up and was in perfect condition.

 

Finally got a grille installed! Ordered a 2nd grille from Areyourshop-a for $135 shipped. Arrived in 7 days (versus 21 days for the motorfansclub grille). Packaging was much better with a double wall cardboard box and nice foam. No broken tabs. The grilled arrived with the Toyota emblem detached. All black plastic.

Only complaint is the grille had a lot of flashing. It was easy to mend with a razor blade taking about 20 minutes to clean up. There was one issue where there was flashing where the notch outs are for the emblem and it would not seat flat. Make sure to look for this before installing the emblem. I also replaced the screws with stainless steel so they don’t ever rust. Overall happy with this grille.













Toyota letters are painted silver, you can see splashed silver paint on the back

Great review! On another note, did you paint the lower portion of the front bumper black or swap it?

Swapped it. Worked a deal to buy lower valence and the TRD wheels at cost when I bought my truck.

The plastic flashing looks different on my motorfans 2pc grill. Didnt have issues with the center "TOYOTA" piece and there less "stains" on the back of the grill. But same flashing everywhere else. With how much flashing you took off makes me feel bad that i installed it with most of that on. Side note, did you have issues with interference/fit issues with the bottom bosses and getting the two center clips to go in? Some ppl had to dremel/sand...

 

I installed it, took 15 mins. Hard to get the old one off without breaking clips, maybe if I spent 20 mins I wouldn’t have broken two clips

 

I had no interference issues getting anything to snap in. In fact I didn’t have to Dremel the screw head clearance either because the stainless screws I installed had a smaller head diameter and cleared.

 

Its the plastic boss that causes the botttom snaps to not fully clip. Not the screw. But thats great that everything went well for you.
