The government ditched BlackBerry for Apple late last year. It's insane how much more secure these iOS devices are in a corporate environment, and we don't have to actually render them useless when we wipe them. All of the secure operation occurs in an isolated memory space that's encrypted twice (once for storage and again in transmission) using AirWatch and Good. When the devices are ready for turn-in and reissue we merely have to send kill commands to the device and the Good workspace implodes. Does a zero level wipe of itself and it's gone. It's also insanely cheaper to run, because BB required the use of their proprietary servers connected to Exchange in order to transfer mail to the devices, while Good simply uses a POP client that works like Apple's mail app, but in the Good workspace.

As an Information Security Officer, it makes my life soooooo much easier.

Android devices are banned from gov't networks because of multiple security flaws.

Thats why I wont be connecting MY phone to the server. Remote wiping will not be in my future.
Not quite sure if iit's an issue with android being insecure or just that its easier to produce malware which means constant updating and cleaning.

There are always new vulnerabilities being discovered with Android. Just when you think you've got it locked down a new flaw is discovered.

    Apparently not COMPLETELY bullet proof.

It looks like it took a nick here and there...

And those look like pellets :D

Uh yeah, it'd be greeeeaaatttt if we didn't call pellets, bullets. Looks like a pretty wimpy pellet gun too. Wonder if I can scrounge up an old iPhone and see what my pellet gun would do to it. :infantry:

Still pretty neat thought as pellets come in .177 and .22.
http://www.crosman.com/get-hunting/airgun-ballistics <-- interesting read regarding the speed/momentum differences between pellets and bullets.
Additionally, a bullet is defined as:
1: a round or elongated missile (as of lead) to be fired from a firearm; broadly
: something resembling a bullet (as in curved form): a large dot placed in printed matter to call attention to a particular passage
: a very fast and accurately thrown or hit object (such as a ball or puck)
By definition a pellet is a bullet.

Well, if we're going to be technical a pellet gun isn't a firearm. ;) I have a 10 meter pellet range in my basement that I started after the price of amo went through the roof and 22's were all but impossible to get. And, my local shooting places have been overrun by FUCKING IDIOTS! Last time I was out there people were literally shooting at each other. :infantry::fenforcer: While not the same as shooting a firearm, it's pretty darn close. And, I can do it for hours on end without having to deal with idiots and for a fraction of the cost.

Nope, subsonic hollowpoints at 50+ feet, I don't think my pellet gun would even crack the glass after I had it 'overhauled' at a very bad gun shop.
If you look close you can see the mushrooming.

I have a couple of high powered pellet rifles that are a hoot to shoot.

    A nitrogen-gas piston Benjamin Trail NP in .22 (950fps) and a Ruger spring rifle in .177 (1200fps)

Both are very accurate and will pierce 1/2 inch plywood.

Since the Benjamin is NP and subsonic, it is incredibly quiet, like quieter than a hand clap.

The Ruger is supersonic so it cracks like a .22 rifle.

I was actually going to ask if they were hollowpoints but I'm not a gun expert, just kind of understand the physics of it so I had an assumption.

Guess you can't edit and add a pic - yes after one did not go thru a switched to a different round - no change

A pellet gun / air rifle / etc is not considered a firearm by the legal definition of such. Therefore the projectile fired from one is not considered a bullet.
