I like the idea of breakfast and then maybe splitting up into a couple of groups. Crown King... Sheeps Bridge...

Then maybe a BBQ at a central camp location.

How far have you been on Willow Springs?

It got narrow and quiet and pristine at almost midnight the night I was on a runout there. Turned around after hanging out a while and started the path to destruction almost immediately.

I saw a couple offshoots on the map closer to the start. That pin is about as far as vehicles can travel it appears.

Love the idea of breakfast, or at minimum bacon!!!!!
Personally have not done many trails in AZ so my off road skills need improvement. Would like to team up with some more experienced guys to see how it is suppose to be done.
12 DCSB 4x4 lifted/stock tires/ armor and sliders for reference

Backway is not currently 2wd-able IMO.

How long ago? Without potentially trespassing, it was a challenge to get away from the mining camp in my truck on Thanksgiving.

There are definitely enough debatable areas to avoid allowing an open 2wd invite.

It was a run probably a year or so ago. Was a TW run and some people had straps just in case. Had to try a few parts a couple times, but also had the ground clearance from spindles

It's doable in 2wd, it takes driver skill and the right line and rock stacking in a couple places. It'll just take you a lot longer on the trail.

Yeah, I'm not into pulling someone up all the way to the top when you get high enough where you get into snow.

Also, the creek when it's got lots of water going, it's not 2wd friendly unless you plan of using the skinny pedal all the way through it. You'll end up breaking your truck and then we will either have to tow you out and and see if Ryan will put it on his trailer or even worse, you will have to get a tow truck and spend a bunch of $$$ to get it out. I don't advice you do it. I never did the back way in my old truck because I knew it is not 2wd friendly, but if you want to plow through and see if you can do it, then be my guest. Just don't expect coming out the same way you came in or under your trucks own power. You have to know your limits and stop at some point. Even in 4wd, you need to know your limits. Tacomas are pretty versatile and reliable, but you beat them enough, they will break and you will pay the ultimate price of forking out a lot of money to get it towed and then fix what you broke.

But, do what you wanna do because it is after all your truck and you paid for it.

Don’t you have the record for being towed the most? You owe it to people to tow someone if they get stuck don’t get high and mighty because you have a 4wd now.
