    Saywhuuh the 2018 pass?

Your most likely reading the day pass access, like parking in the lots. Buggy passes are 24/7.

Electric fan is nice for daily and off-road parks. I prefer a mechanical fan when hours from civilization.

Looks like it's broken into pieces.

Judging by the size of your stocking I'm guessing you have a 100ft tree ,so 2 or 3 new/different trucks should fit under that. Can't wait to see your actual gifts.

    You guys use HF?

I’d be interested in looking at your OEM operation to learn stuff.

Most of camper trucks park on the south end near or at the inlet. My best theory is they don’t want recreational camping on the beach.. with changes in tides and people who don’t think they will have a lot of rescues to perform by high tide, if tide is in the middle of the night people will wake up under water. The pass is teqnically a sport fishing permit. You can sleep out there, the more inconspicuous you are the better. Ive never slept out there cuz I really do live to close to bother but when my wife and I started dating I had a run in with a ranger at dusk when he stopped cuz I had a ground tent setup. We had a debate after he told me I can’t have a tent and I said what about all the campers.. he could only answere “that’s different”.

There’s a lot of variables to the rules, and the rangers tend to leave you alone as long you look like your playing by the rules. Also depends on time of year, season.. fishing fall/spring season vs summer season. More and more people are getting these buggy passes which means there’s more and more people every year driving on the beach, not everyone knows what there doing so it puts the rangers on more of an alert. The fishing crowd season is not nearly as patrolled as the summer season. For the first time this past summer I saw a ranger with a clip board at one of the beach access points walking up to people airing down and making sure they had everything required on the check list. They are not like that all the time..

You can drive into the park 24/7 with a buggy pass. While back I tried to go into the park to kayak fish at sunrise. Cuz I didn’t have a buggy pass at the time they told me I couldn’t go in till the park opened..

    What number did you get?

I don’t ever get my pass this early but thought they don’t start the new year passes till Jan 1st..

A long time ago an old timer told me he knew a group of guys that would race after the new year to get the 0001 sticker.

well finally figured out what the weird noise my trucks been making is coming from. My AC. It works it just makes a weird whine sometimes. It's on and off, and kinda random. Is there a clutch on the compressor or something? No clue how this thing works, hopefully I don't have to replace the whole compressor.

Yeah there was a guy right behind me too. Like I said I’ve never been so we’ll see how crowded it is. I figured it would be cool that I can fish and my daughter can play in the sand with her friends. I got a rinse kit, awning, coolers, Plano boxes. Should be a good time.

@diabetiktaco ^^ this is very vague..

The buggy pass is a golden ticket. It gives you highest priority of park use. Like I said 24 hour access. In the summer months when the crowds come for beach day passes the park is limited to a certain number of parking spaces. Say they have 2000, when the 2000th car goes into the park they close the front gate.. usually on the weekends by 10-11 o’clock. If you have a buggy pass you will not be denied, you have to sit in the traffic of people trying to get it and being detoured but when you approach the road block and a staff member sees your sticker they will wave you in. You are not taking up a parking space, you’ll be parking on the beach... Once some time goes by and day pass people leave they reopen access to the park for everyone.

I wish. I can’t bring myself to spend $800 on it. I just upgraded all the fishing equipment I had to all new shit. Then made the mistake of going cheap until my pole snapped in half. Then went out and got all new better stuff.

Some of this was dicks bullshit combos. I hit up Murphy’s hook house and Charlie’s and got some good stuff. My newest real is a tsunami. I was casting into slack tide when I got it. I couldn’t resist.
