Whenever I hit bumps in the road at a decent speed, my steering wheel immediately jerks to one side or the other. I have a feeling that my bump stops might be too long and are hitting too soon, but I’m not 100% positive. Any other ideas?

No I’ve got the 4 inch kit, and bought replacement coils separately. Would a pic of the travel to bump stop and travel of the shock while the truck is level help?

Might help, are you on stock UCA's? Did you get it properly aligned after the lift?

UCA’s are stock, and alignment is good. The only things I have seen online regarding the symptoms are saying tie rods, but I have checked them and they are not worn at all

Just curious as what alignment is good means? You are lifted so stock specs won't work with this lift

    Tire size?
    Cold psi?

BDS is confident that the bushings in the OEM UCAs are too flexible and that some of the perceived “bump steer” I see is deflection in the arms and bushings. They have recommended aftermarket UCAs as a potential solution to my issues.

My bump steer was worst at higher PSI.

running a >2" lift without aftermarket uca's just seems silly to me.

I’ve bumped up the psi to 40 from 35 and had no noticeable difference. Did you end up putting new arms on??

Nope but I’m currently looking at the options and pricing. Having a challenging time deciding JBA vs SPC vs BDS.

Bumpsteer is toe in or out as the suspension compresses or rebounds. It has a direct corelation with the length and position of the steering link/tie rod.

    Describe how it;
-pulls when one side compresses(e.g. driver side compresses, pulls left or right)
-pulls when one side rebounds(e.g. drivers idea rebounds, pulls left or right)

Scrub radius can also have an affect on bumpsteer...
What are your tire and wheel specs?

I'm not that we'll versed in drop bracket lifts; it doesn't drop the steering rack just the differential, correct? If so, I'm not seeing any new steering links for the 4" lift on the BDS site...

Bumpsteer as it relates to caster, is a function of having too much rather than not having enough.

I went with JBA and my truck rides much better than on stock UCAs and I have 3 degrees of positive caster. For me, the positive caster helped the most with the bump steer. (I went from 1 to 2 to 3 degrees to feel the difference)
