I agree with this assessment. They are good tires but I can't see myself spending the money next time around. Especially with how heavy they are.
    Yeah, those are the ones.

@kashtyaatsi is not known to go with the best option out of a group of available choices, so take it with a grain of salt.

From what I've seen, if you go duracraps, aside from the sidewall splitting open from tread to bead because you looked sideways at them, you stand a better than even chance of either getting hitched, popping out a kid, and driving a sequoia or burning your truck to the ground.

There's not really any options out there for a snow rated AT. It's pretty much those, duratrash, and the new falkens. I was thinking about trying the falkens but so far reviews are pretty mediocre.

    Yep.

So we started with wipers and ended with bashing tires. Must be snow season.

Think they will make it past 30k miles with decent tread left? I don't like having to replace tires before 30k miles. The STMaxx was not going to make that mark. But if the pros can they might be worth a shot

There's another out there that someone here tried (@Star-Lord maybe): Les Schwab Back Country All Terrain made be Dean Tires, the SQ4: http://www.deantires.com/tires/back-country-sq-4 but the M&S versions are in SUV and CUV sizes only (whatever that means).

No clue. I don’t keep track of miles any more. I got mine right before Moab 2016. I drive 25 miles a day to and from work 6days a week average. Plus what little bit around town. Still pretty beefy. Plus I do 6tire rotations once every 3-4 months. We’ll see how long they will last. The roads are different here. Very corse. California has very smooth roads. That’s when I had the bfg’s.

Well the BFG all terrain I had before. Old style had 70,000-80,000 on them. They where slicks when they came off.
