    Yes 3 straps. And no its better than a spring compressor. Not that I care about paint scratches on them.

    Also a rental coil compressor won't fit on king coils anyways

    Hopefully I can get all this done tonight. Only other hurdle is getting of the siezed flare nut in the steering rack

    Marc and I did the same with compressing mine this summer. I would say try that route, it was simple and just felt safer than using a spring compressor.

    Flush ps tonigh, drain and fill a few more fluids, align the steering just enough to get it to the shop for a real alignment...and I should be good to go tomorrow afternoon for a hopefully more pleasant drive than before

    About 5 years ago I put poly bushing on my rack. Now considering replacing it with an new OEM rack and wondering (seriously) if a new set of poly bushing is the way to go or to re-use the ones on there now. What have you done?

    Doesn't look like it...

    I put in new ES bushings before I installed my new OEM rack. Super easy to do when the rack is on the workbench. For like $20 and 5 minutes it would seem silly not to do it.

    You're thinking about LCA bushings.

    Thanks. And that makes sense, even if the current ones are still in good shape.

    And redoing LCA bushings at the same time is also on the list.

    Certainly, whiteline LCA bushings are going to be one of the options in the work I want to do this winter.

    Replace them. Easy to do and 5 years is a long time for any bushing considering what we do.

    This is the con on rubber bumps. Basically they are progressive. So for slow stuff they will stop the up travel pretty early on. But on a big hit it'll compress more. Why Hydros would be a better option, but really hard to fit on a stock LCA.

    This is also why a lot of the folks that run the supers on our trucks trim them down 3/4'' to 1''. I think i did 3/4'' or so. Maybe less, was the top section.

    I have no doubt that they limit crawling up travel. But shouldn't limit it that much.

    If you are talking about like in the last few months you have noticed that you don't flex as well, another thing is temperature. Last winter i really noticed that the bumps get really hard with the drop in temp. Can't get around that either.

    Come summer though I was happy they were on there again.

    So really, I think its a winter issue more than anything.

    I can't stop drooling over this. If I was one to have a spare 1/4 mil laying around, i'd be one of those first 1000 'founders'.

    I can't get past some of the numbers. A 600 mile range is huge. I mean super huge considering the best model S is up to 335 mile range. And the torque... 10,000 newton meters.... really? Wnen I do the math, the number is very hard to believe.

    And besides all of that, it is gorgeous to look at. :drool:

    No can't be the UCAs.

    Its most likely the temp on the bumps. I know this spring when i warmed up it was like..oh riiiggghhtt. My front end IS smooth haha

    But i would still suggest trimming them a bit. Would make it so you weren't riding on them all the time.

    We are redoing grants suspension on his 4runner. I almost bought him a full OME kit. But after more reading didn't. It seem the folks on the 4runner forums hate the OME shocks. Ride is way to harsh. So I skipped them. Kinda interesting reading though how they all didn't like them.

    Honestly the 4runners are even more limited on spring/shock options than we are. I just found it interesting that most of them wanted a very smooth ride and the OME shocks were not working for most of them.

    Just kinda funny is all.

    My OME set up on my 4th gen felt decent. Little stiff but I didnt think unreasonable.
