    Thanks, he said it should be done by next Thursday. I'm still curious on why it happened. Here the coolent wasn't the issue. That's going to be my next job to find out where that is going. I just checked all the fluids a couple days before the trans took a shit and it was a the full level. It does change but usually doesn't drop past the low level. I've had the water pump replaced once around 15k, I guess it could be that?

    '87 right? Mine was all red.

    My fenders and quarter wheel openings were really bad. The chrome wheel opening trim was screwed in and the rust started around the screws. Had about 2" of rot on each corner. Chopped off a bunch, Por15'd it and Bushwacker flairs for the win. The really bad stuff was the cap side window trim. That just disintegrated in flakes. Nothing I could do to stop it. They were just big troughs for water and dirt.
