The 7.3 can be a nasty Diesel I had mine pushing over 500 hp and 1000 tq., but it took a lot to get there compared to the newer diesels. Personally I like the 24 valve cummins just not the trucks that they are in.

The truck in general has a lack of power or after mods? I hear if you push the pedal down it'll fly

Not sure if hardware came, but for the three skid set you need 6 new bolts

2 large ones to attach the rear of the ifs to the front of the mid.

4 smaller ones to attach the rear of the tcase to the frame. You need to drill the frame holes. Make sure you tighten the skids at the crossmember bolts before you drill to ensure you get them in the right spot. Some folks only do 2 of 4 to eliminate drilling the 4 holes. Best protection with all 4 in. Mallcrawling 2 is fine. @EddyRRT, sounds like hardware went mia on this one.

I'd say there's something wrong with it. Mine's not slow even with all the armor. Maybe you're used to rice rockets?

    I bet they took them.

For the IFS skid you re use the four bolts with 17 mm heads and two bolts in the back have a 12mm head.

What was shipped with it was.

Two 1/2"x1.5" G8 bolts to connect the ifs to mid.

Four 3/8" x1" carriage bolts for the tcase skid to the frame.

Depending on your rush I could ship new ones out via usps. But doubt they will get there till mid next week

I had a '99 F350 dually, GT38/72 turbo, headers, head studs, major fuel mods, 6 position chip, larger mandrel up pipes, 5in exhaust with a custom 3.75 in down pipe, larger intercooler and piping, ported intake, Elec fans on a custom shroud, dual trans coolers mounted under the truck with a scoop for air and fans, a built trans with a billet stall and switch for the lock up, F450/550 Dana 135 square tube rear with 4.88s. It hauled. There are some other things I am missing but can't remember off the top of my head.

The problem with the dodges is their chassis, interior, and trans. The rear diff is the same DANA/Sterlings like whats in the Fords.

haha I'll bet Fastenal has that exact number and size bolts for sale..

I'd go back in and ask them for the bolts that were with it.

No no pics and yeah but that's what it takes to get any power and strength out of those 7.3ls. Yeah I sold it I had a early casting on the transmission and they were weak around the pump bolts and mine ended up cracking and leaking burned up the trans. So sold it guy put a stock trans behind it and blew it up within a month, now he spent the coin on a correct trans. I am constantly building up stuff and getting rid of it.

All I need a is a ( tradesman 4x4) . In Clinton Sc cooper's has them for 43k and to think a money making workhorse. Is going for the same price as midsized. Even cooper's fully loaded one they had was 53k. Charleston is just to expensive... Glad I bailed

I hated the Dirtymaxxes and still do not enough low end grunt for me. I like the Powerstrokes and Cummins better. Yeah that 6.7 is just a slight redesign of the old 6bts which is awesome there is quite a bit of parts commonality.

It wasn't on my list of diesels to get., but I bought it from a older gentleman that took care of it. No lift, no big wheels and no rolling coal. I asked him if he wanted to sell it. He spit out a number way to fast and way to cheap. So I jumped on it. Let's just say the trade in. Is 6k more then I paid

Nice that's the way to do it! I remember replacing many a fuel systems on them from the 1 gen through the 3rd gen engines I still don't think they completely fixed all the fuel system issues. The funniest ones were the first gen ones where the injectors would be stuck wide open and fill the crankcase with diesel until the owner saw fuel spilling on the ground out of the oil fill cap!
