For those who are on the fence about installing their lift on their own or paying somebody else to do it this should prove quite a useful thread. Basically I want to know how much everybody paid to have their lift installed. That way those who are on the fence will know how much it'll cost them to have it done by a dealer/shop/whatever.

    Post these pieces of Info:
Type of Lift - ex. 3" Spacer, 5100s, C/Os, Drop Bracket, ect.
    Includes or Excludes Alignment
With or without cost of Parts (buying the parts there or on your own)

I just got this quote from my dealer.
Type of Lift: Bilstien 5100s - Front Only
    Alignment Included: Yes
    Includes Parts: Yes and No

    Buying the 5100s from the dealer + install/alignment. - $490
    Install 5100s only with alignment - $190

bought complete set of 5100's for about 270 (with 25% cashback, if i get it, should bring the price down to about 210.00)...haven't installed yet, but was quoted 150.00 from meineke to just install the four shocks, probably another 50-60 bucks for an alignment...still haven't found anyone willing to install my AALs in the rear...not sure why...

In Seattle, Toyota Dealer where I bought my truck from vs. Meineke

    Meineke $150 to install 4 shocks, $59.99 Alignment - $209.99 Total
    Toyota $440 to install 4 shocks, $89.99 Alignment - $529.99 Total

This does not include the shocks! Dealer is over twice as much! Crazy, you'd think in this economy they'd bend a little, not to mention, they should know how to work on their own trucks better than anyone else...

ToyTec adjustable coilovers, diff drop and 2" AAL - $567.90 shipped
Total Chaos UCAs from WheelersOffroad.com - $690 shipped
ToyTec machined top plate for front shocks - $151.99 shipped
    Bilstein 5100s from DSMS - $269 shipped
ToyTec Shock extenders - $28 shipped
6 top studs for top plate to mount to truck - $15 from Toyota*
Lifetime Alignment from Firestone - $149**
Installation - $25 (for pizza. Installed myself with a friend)
    Total - $1895.89

    * The studs were supposed to be included with the machined top plate from ToyTec but were missing. They offered to overnight them to me, but I was having my springs compressed when we found they were missing. Luckily, they were Toyota parts, so I was able to get them at the dealer.

** I chose the lifetime alignment and it's already paid for itself. When I originally put the lift on, it was set way too high. So I adjusted it down and had it realigned.

I am only slightly mechanically inclined and installed the lift myself (with a friend). It took a while (~8 hours) but wasn't difficult. I haven't done the rear yet because I haven't decided if I'm gonna need it. I probably will, but for now, the rear is stock height (with the TSB springs).
