I'll have to get them from my personal laptop as I'm on my work laptop. I will say that I did call corporate after I spoke with the dealership. I opened a case and I'm waiting for someone to call me back on Tuesday. I told the dealership the whole truck needs to be painted. Replacing the hood and just the mirrors and then painting one door and the right side of the truck bed is just not going to work. I'll see what happens on Tuesday and I can give an update after. As of today this will be day 7 without my truck and probably close to 4 weeks total without it after all the previous issues I've had.

Wow, that is a lot of trouble for a new truck. I'm sorry to hear that you've had so many issues... I've always had great experiences with Toyota dealerships, and I hope that they offer you the same level of understanding and care that I've received. It sounds like this is pretty cut and dry, though. With paint issues all over the truck, I'm sure that they will also make similar conclusions that you have. I'm rooting for yah!

Thank you. I appreciate it. I love my Toyota's. I still have my 2000 that I bought in 1999. We've never had an issues with them. Until now.

I found the photos of the hood, mirrors and the passenger door. I don't have the main one on the truck bed. However on the mirrors and hood you can see the white discoloration and that is what is on the side of the truck bed, although it is much bigger. The passenger door is pretty easy to see. The truck is not dirty. I thought that at first and tried to wipe it clean. They also tried at the dealership and the darker spot remains while the rest of the truck is lighter.

Wow, that is bizzare. It looks like some of the spots are deep, especially in the mirror. Thanks for posting the pictures, I can't say I've seen something like that before

Yep, I'd decontaminate wash, clay, polish then seal it. It would look better than new.

Line-X it! If my a/c didn't smell like cow manure I would keep my black Tacoma and pay the $5,000 to get it Line-X'ed. Sure would be nice not to wax/polish a truck again.

an older truck I would agree , a new 40k truck I would rather wrap and keep resale value.

If you plan on keeping it till Jesus comes or you win the lottery, Line-X would be the way to go. Then you would not care how much the resale value is.

Slight update. Just got off the phone with the dealership. They are going to repaint the truck bed because of the white haze under the paint. They said it looks like a chemical spill of some type. Now here is where it gets fun. The hood, fenders, and mirrors which also appear to them as a chemical flaw they are refusing to cover and paint. They keep saying "environmental" factors. I asked what the hell does that mean. Apparently chemicals from the sky, train dust (WTF)!??!?! I don't work in an industrial area. I'm not near any trains, so I'm beyond pissed right now. I have my case open still and I called the case manager and I'm waiting for a call back. Merry Christmas to me....more updates as soon as I get them.

That's sucks man. Sorry to hear about it. Have you found anything out or consider trading the truck in? It's one of those things where you are going to fight tooth and nail to get the whole truck repainted and in the end, I bet you will find the job they do will be mediocre. You will then regret ever buying the thing and may never enjoy the truck again.
My truck was backed into by a drunk driver a month ago, stoved in the tailgate. He was nice enough to leave a note and paid 1500 for the repair. I went ahead and setup a appointment with the body shop. 4 days later 60mph winds blow a dumpster into the side of my truck, hitting the bumper, fender, and door. I can't open the passenger door now haha. Another quote for 2500$ Which insurance is paying for. I cringe when I think about what if the body shop screws the paint up? Quote says they need to blend into the hood and door. Really? I am honestly nervous and when it is fixed, will I ever feel right driving it?

Blending is a normal technique. I would be more concerned if they said they didn’t need to.

First off you should have never accepted the truck with all these problems. Always look the truck/car over thoroughly before buying it. Its much easier to negotiate if you still have your money in your pocket and can walk away from the deal.
