    So I did a thing.
My old set up from my TDI buyback had bags. Running some horns for the driver impaired. Not sure how to break up the tank/comp. combo.

Cheap lightbar. Does the trick for a mall crawler/suburban early riser.

I drove my stock 4 popper to Walmart early this morning when it was still dark and could see the city streets fine with my oem headlights. :D

Man, I see some of these postings of people getting 20+ mpg. That’s great!
I have had a 2016 TRD OR DBLC that at best driving around 55mph(rarely) I could get ~20 mpg. Typically I’m driving 70-75 and I get 17 mpg.....all flatland here.
My 2016 got totaled via hurricane Harvey.
    I have a 2017 same config.......same mileage.
    I do have a little heavier tires Nitto’s 265/70/17.

I don't get it. Why would you put that sticker on your truck? Does it mean something new now? lol

Im with you on that. People posting all these 20+ mpg readings... I only get that on the highway.... my tanks' average is usually in the 15s (without a lot of hwy driving).

I really dont care about mpgs that much... but not sure how people are getting that... unless its nothing but highway driving...

My truck is bone stock at the moment.

If I drive all highway and watch my speed, I can get 20-22 mpg. Normally I'm in the 16-17 range. But also some of these trucks people are driving are 2wd, and that right there makes a big difference. Also some are probably 4 cyl.

Holy $$$ Over a grand for your kit on their site. Do you perform a full paint correction/detail prior to the application; whats the prep involved? Im sure its short money in the long run for the protection they offer.

I routinely get 20-22mpg around town. And that's even hitting most lights red. My Taco will often get better mileage city than it does highway.

I have a Russian co-worker, actually a lot of them.
During the 70’s Russia exchanged Jews for US wheat.
He figured that he was worth about 3 bushels of wheat.
    Another take:
“Jimmy Carter and Leonid Brezhnev created a Jews-for-grain deal. American Jews were agitating for Soviet Jews to be able to leave Russia, and at the same time the Soviet Union had a horrible wheat harvest. So grain sailed out of America and Jews sailed out of Russia. I was worth 300 loaves of bread or something.”

And my wife is Russian, from Kamchatka. She grew up during Soviet times. You should hear about her life during Soviet times...even though she is highly educated, 4 degrees. Pretty dang rough....4 families in a 5 room flat (1 room for each family) who all had to share a common kitchen. Ration tickets for basic food stuffs, sugar, flour, cheese, bread. All of that for 20+ years for her.
I grew up during the Cold War, propaganda and all. I also got to work and live in Moscow.
Had plenty of time to learn all about Communism in Russia via many books I read(I don’t watch TV much less Russian TV) and the Russian friends I have. All of my interpreters and translators were former KGB (‘90’s). They had to be for the most part because that was the only way you could get an education to learn English in Soviet times.
Look up Radio Free Europe.....24 hr a day radio broadcasts from the West to people behind the ‘Iron Curtain’....
My father-in-law was a colonel in the KGB. It was like going to MIT here as far as education, 4 years to be accepted and educated in the KGB. He was allowed to leave Russia with his whole family to live in Mexico City as a Russian movie producer....back when Mexico had heavy Leftist leanings. He speaks fluent Spanish and English.
I told him that must have been great times for him. He said, no. The first year was the worst time of his life. I was like why? You had a big 5 room flat, a maid and a car.
He said his first year in Mexico City he saw how people lived, what they had etc.
He realized he had been lied to all his life about the West from his government.
When he came back to Russia he quit the KGB....started his own business designing, manufacturing sensors to find survelience/listening bugs, and then detectors for IED’s. He sells to the US military now.
Someone who was a Patriot of his country, all his life was told how much better his life was via the Soviet/Communist system. When he got real exposure to the the West, the freedom, capitalism.....it’s what he wanted back home for him and his family.....
It sort of shocks me to see idiots here, mostly young ones, protesting with hammer and sickle flags and signs. They really don’t know.....

I do better mpg in town that highway as well, however, my typical highway driving is 7-10 miles with construction. My lead foot gets trip mileage about 17-18 highway, and 20-23 in town. My current average since reset is 20.6 no mods to any part of drive train.

One thing I've noticed (so there is nothing scientific about it), is it seems most folks like myself who get really good city mileage tend to have TRD Sports, while those who seem to get far worse mileage tend to have TRD OR's. I wonder what the correlation is, if any. I can't imagine the front skirt makes that much of a difference.

I've seen people say it's around a 1 mpg difference for the skirt. That is an interesting point, I'm curious now.

City is relative, right? If I lived in Idaho, I think of Boise, which has a metro population of ~665k. DFW has ~6.4million.

A lot depends on how heavy the traffic is and how long you have to sit at stop lights. Most of my driving is in moderate-to-heavy traffic with only about 25% being highway and I get about 16/17 mpg on average. Not bad for a truck.

The only time I've ever seen 20+ is when we took the truck on a weekend trip with mostly highway driving.

I actually had a shop do the install and prep. They said paint correction is needed if paint is already bad or has swirls from recent washes. My truck was a week old so no corrections done. Only prep was a foam wash (no hands to prevent swirls). Took my guy a day. And yes while it was over a grand, it has a 10yr guarantee and keeps your front end looking mint. I love road trips and camping, all my previous vehicles got beat up one ding at a time within the first year or two, so I'm trying to keep this baby pretty.

I live in San Diego, not small town Boise. lol

My area has lights at pretty much every block/intersection, and the way they're timed, I end up hitting most red.
