My wife had been bugging me for years about buying a rental, I never wanted the extra BS that came come with it. But because home prices are so high and climbing around here, rents are doubling and I'm kicking myself for not doing it.

If it makes you feel better, last weekend I was there from 10am Saturday to 2am Sunday, then back at it from 11am to 6pm Sunday and every night this week I've been there after work from 6:30pm to 10:30pm with the exception of last night when I decided I was no longer productive at 8:30pm so I bailed early.

That's what has kept me from doing it. I work 60+ hours a week on a regular basis, I also have to frequently travel to the other side of the state often with less than 24 hours notice.

Cancer sucks, I wish you the best of luck man.
I was diagnosed when I was 18 with Hodgkins lymphoma and went through chemo and radiation therapy. Nothing you can really do but take it one day at a time. I'm 24 now and things are looking good and clear. Still going every 6 months for exams and blood work.
Keep up the fight and awesome truck!

It's a nice upgrade from the old oil burner we had before. Much quieter and it'll be a lot less expensive to run than this old beast.

Damn....only at 65,900 miles this morning. Probably won't even hit 6,000 miles this year. I need to drive more.

I guess I should call insurance and see how much it'll save me...I think I have under 12k annually on my policy but not positive and the app keeps freezing when I tried to check.

Wrenched on the truck for a few minutes today. Oil change and added a fumoto valve. Should help keep oil off the skid plate in the future.

This arrived on Sunday...waiting on another switch and the fuse block then I'll be installing in the bed. The first switch will power the 12v and USB quick charge and the second switch will turn on the bed lights that I also need to install.

The fumoto is nice, but prepare for the slowest oil change in history next time. It definitely keeps the skid from get oiled up.

I figure the oil will drain while I grease the ball joints and driveshafts.

    Love the thread man!

Hows the taco handle towing that trailer? I've been tossing around the idea of getting one for a while now, just a little nervous on the towing capabilities of our trucks. I live in the sacramento valley so alot of trips would require us to go over the donner pass. Deff would need a tranny cooler for that lol

@tacoRenner, if possible I'd suggest a lighter trailer than we ended up in if you plan to use it a lot. The Tacoma will tow it but it has to work pretty hard to do so and if you are lifted with larger tires it is going to be slow. Right now with 265/75/16 I have to wind it out in 2nd gear to hold 55-60mph going over the pass.

I've finally convinced the Wife that we should replace her vehicle with something that we'll use to tow with.

You're welcome. What size tires are you running @tacoRenner? Your truck looks good.
