First off sorry mods if there is already a thread like this, I searched and got nothing . Just thought it would be cool to spread the love through the forum and give opportunities to those looking for work if we have an opportunity we know of

I’ll start, Company in San Leandro is hiring a driver/warehouse person. Wages around $14 a hour, hours around 6-3. Full time w/ great benefits. If interested shoot me a PM I’ll get you in touch

Anyone else with anything feel free to share!

County of Santa Clara Job openings
These are for job postings across Santa Clara County. All County jobs have very specific requirements with regard to the application process. A lazily filled out application with only a resume will result in an automatic rejection.

If CA is as expensive as they say, and you are taxed to death...who lives on $14/hr?

You can’t live on $14 per hour... atleast, you can’t do it without assistance of some kind...that’s why so many cities and counties are establishing their own minimum wage standard that reflect living conditions/costs.

As said you can’t completely live off it. It’s an entry job with room for growth and the company has cheap benefits so keep in mind less money taken out for those. Pay is also negotiable of course.
Renting rooms is very common in this area as well as roommates so some people can make the pay work.

I can see this thread being very useful for some. $14 an hour is a good start, probably wouldn't support the tacoma mods addiction. But hey, let's get people back to work! Thanks OP!

SPI in Quincy is always hiring entry level cleanup people for the mill, no union anymore, but I understand employees like it better now. Union was voted out a few years ago, or somewhere like that. Plumas Co. Sheriffs office always needs Correction people as does the Sheriffs office, but non-locals dont seem to stay long since other counties pay LE more. Sheriff tries to hire within the county.

I wish I had a job that paid that much. When I retired 21 months ago, I was making less than half that. Had no debt, but since i collect stoves and lanterns, always paying off my credit card each month from ebay purchases. During the work week, stayed at my late mom's place, came home Friday after work. Two hour drive to get home.
