It's no different than buying stocks in the grand scheme of things really. Supply/demand make prices go up and down. I knew this drop was going to happen. People were selling off some BTC for Christmas money. You start selling off in quantities like that and you flood the market with supply. That in turn will drive prices down. After the first of the year prices will start going back up again more steadily.

Idk, I made a bit but only b/c I played the run up when they started trading on coinbase a few days ago. Bought and Sold in 6 mins, could have made 40% but got away with 15%

The tax overhaul will help for sure. It's free market. The difference is we are looking at GLOBAL free market instead of LOCAL free market. Watch the value of BTCs. In the first part of February will be the Chinese New Year. I promise you will see a significant drop then as well. Good thing with global markets is if you know global trends, you can make money. It's what retirement funds and stock brokers do every minute of every day.

It is fun just to watch. I like to do what I call "fantasy trading" where I pretend I have $xxx.xx to invest, and I will watch buy and sell orders go through. I chose a buy price, and if the market shows a successful buy at that price, I mark down how many BTCs I got from the buy. Then I select a sell price and do it over and over again. Attempting to buy low and sell high. It's fun to do, but not realistic because it's not a real sale, and a real sale can affect future buy and sell prices.

I tell people all the time, even with the stock market, watch it for a while before you decide to put money in. The best stocks I've picked over the years I've checked every day for a decade, once you get an idea of how a stock (or coin) likes to perform, it's much easier to decide how and when to buy.

Yeah I still haven’t taken a loss overall I’m just bummed because this was my first actual mistake in trading imo. I did really well waiting for a dip but I got too excited and bought well before the bottom (at least so far) I’m still going to hold and buy more soon because I believe it’ll go up a lot next year. It just sucks seeing yourself go from 150% gains to 80% gains lol.

I'm enjoying getting into my longer term multiplier investment. Going to take a little bit of time, but longer term will be a worth-it payoff.

I put a small amount in this morning, but I’m up $20.

Not as crazy as I’m sure a lot of you are experiencing, but it’s fun! Wish I had more to play with, but bills never stop lol

They say it's from servers being overloaded but they can also use that excuse to help manipulate the market.

I have some too. Price has stayed pretty darn steady for the last few days that I have had it.
