I was recently vaccuming my truck and found this spring underneath the passenger seat. I am not sure exactly where this spring is supposed to go. there is some foam inside the spring which would lead me to believe it goes up under the seat. I examined underneath by runner my fingers along the sides. There is a bunch of springs however the one I found appears bigger than those. I compared the driver seat and the passenger seat with no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Here is a picture of the spring. It measures roughly 4" from hook to hook and 1" width.

Welcome to TW! Looks like a spring from under the seat. The foam in it could be a vibration damener. Remove the seat, and see if one is missing.

    Build thread in sig...
if you go to the dealership, someone in the parts department should be able to pull up an exploded view of your seat. might be able to figure it out that way

One bolt on each rail. 2 up front, 2 in the rear of the seat. Remove them, and lean the seat back. Disconnect the wireing harness/s and remove the seat.
