Spring found under passenger seat

I was recently vaccuming my truck and found this spring underneath the passenger seat. I am not sure exactly where this spring is supposed to go. there is some foam inside the spring which would lead me to believe it goes up under the seat. I examined underneath by runner my fingers along the sides. There is a bunch of springs however the one I found appears bigger than those. I compared the driver seat and the passenger seat with no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Here is a picture of the spring. It measures roughly 4" from hook to hook and 1" width.

 

dont know but maibe you could check where a piece of foam has ben riped out

 

if you go to the dealership, someone in the parts department should be able to pull up an exploded view of your seat. might be able to figure it out that way

 

Ok and how do I remove the seat? LOL
