    Such an awesome thread!

Just curious, any reason why you painted over the drivers pillar Info/VIN sticker?
Or did you just mask it off?

I went to Toyota dealership when I was having that issue. They were going to take that nut off for me with that SST.(specialty service tool) but their vise was broken so they couldn't do it that day. The master tech there, who sounded like a very knowledgeable individual told me to take the air hammer to it! It worked out I just held the air hammer in the wrong spot the first time and it damaged the nut so bad that when I took it off, it screwed all my threads up.

I appreciate it!! Thank you. I really fell in love with the first gen. It would have been much easier to take a loan out. I listen to Dave ramsey, and follow my dads footsteps! Toyota is the most reliable car out there hands down.

I haven't done any drive train upgrades because I've been waiting so long to get this thing on the road. I didn't want to throw all my money in before driving it for a little while to hear it run, drive etc. I do want to put a locking diff in. Any suggestions for drive train upgrades to make this baby drive better?

Got all my parts painted and cleared last night. It was cold! Like 45 degrees out but my kerosene heater did a fine job of keeping the place warm enough. Had to buy more clearcoat+activator $150
    1. Prepping took 4-5 hours
    2. Painting 4 hours
    3. Clear about 1
    4. Bake for 2 hours at 90-100 degrees with heater

Wow, impressive work. Definitely want to see what that grey will look like once it's all back together.

I'm really enjoying the grey as well! I think as an all around color to keep looking good over time, grey works best.. after white;)

Alright! My brother and I got the doors fenders, canopy, and tailgate on to drive her home. No windshield yet but getting that installed today. Thankfully I didn't have to drive far to get home.
I still need to take the canopy off and install the plastic bed cover and tailgate cover so don't think we forgot to take the 3m tape off the bottom of the canopy. A seal goes there anyway. But, I do still have some work to get this thing on the road!

BTW, this color is so strange! In the photos it looks like a nice grey color but in person it looks closer to a light bluish tint. I didn't expect that but hoping it will look more like what the photos show in the sun.

Can I have you paint my truck too???:D I'll eventually be doing something with mine as I've got dings, chips and scratches.... But a new paint job like that would mean I couldn't take it on the trails!

Unfortunately this past weekend was my brothers last 5 days off the rest of the year so. I'm sorry. Oh and also, you're in Alaska.
Everyone else: thanks for the comments!
Windshield is in! $170 for removal, install and new seal around it.

Here is a sneak peak of what it's gonna be sitting on.
I think the wheel is hitting the caliper. I probabaky will need to grind something down a little bit. Any suggestions?!

I picked up these 16x 8 pacer wheels locally $240
Purchased these falken wildpeake at3 265/75/r16 for $650 total. These look so nice!!
Also purchased 5100 Bilstein front and rear shocks. 1"-2.5" adjustable front and 3" in rear
Have to wait til January before the automotive shops can do spring compression for me
