5% is not legal here either... But it's a non moving violation... No points on license.. But still about a $100 fine... I only paid $60 for the tint. A friend of my sister's did it for me. The closest shops wanted 180-220, at 35%, with the front visor strip... So i figure with what i saved on the tint i have money in the bank for a ticket LOL If i get a ticket it's my fault and i won't complain.

But again... I live deep in the country. Most cops here aren't too worried about tint. If i lived in a big city i would of stayed legal. Lots of people i know run 5%. I don't know of anyone personally that's been pulled over for tint. One buddy got pulled for speeding and they gave him a ticket for tint INSTEAD of a speeding ticket... I'd much prefer that LOL

Oh and the list is private... Through pms only. Just make sure to include the pics!! Its the key to getting on the list!!

Yea, I drive from the country to the city but it's the county cops that care the most. And here they just make you remove it, no questions asked. And that is worse than paying a ticket. Most shops charge more to remove than to install. Oh, and my windishild is tinted on the Lex. Not legal in any state. But it's not noticeable because it is just a blue hue to it, not grey.

Well, if there is a list, I am on it. I am on a bunch of lists for a lot of things and I am sure I don't want to be.....:bananadead:

Damn I’m glad your way out in the swamps, I wouldn’t want to drive near you at night! A buddy had 5% on his Jeep I didn’t like riding in it in the daytime even!
Good news is I don’t think you can be pulled over just because of tint, I think it is a secondary offense so they can only give you a ticket if they pull you over for something else.

BTW does he want pics of us nude or the whales?

Yea my father lives down the road from me and he is good friends with a local sheriff. I have talked with him about tint, and many other things, and he said they give you the option to pay the ticket or remove the tint. But also said he doesn't pull people over for tint... But if he pulls someone over for anything else and they are being an asshole he will ticket them for the tint then. He also has illegal tent on his personal vehicle. But only 20%. Still illegal here.

I have had 5% on multiple vehicles. I'm very careful. At night i roll my windows down when needed. I'd be lying if i said it didn't limit my vision from the sides/rear but i take necessary precautions. And i dont drive at night very often... that being said... i do prefer the look. It blends better with black paint. Keeps the truck cooler and keeps the sun off me....... Most importantly... It's the only way i can talk my wife into giving me a bj while driving :p

If your in Florida, you already drive by hundreds of people with "illegal" tint, whether you notice or not. It's hot and bright here. It's not uncommon at all.

As far as the list... Meso said there's only 2 of us on it so far... Apparently nobody is sending the right pics... Keep trying!!

Yeah I’m just giving you shit. I had 20% on my 4Runner, but I did think my buddy’s Jeep was too dark for me. I haven’t got around to getting the Taco tinted but I’m thinking I’ll go 30% this time... I guess I’m getting too old too soon.

Thanks @Ro_Ja Boy for the instructions!

I love these things! Install is super easy, they look OEM (actually better), and are super bright! Thanks @mesojdm for the badass work!

    Awesome!
So one reason I designed them as a complete drop in panel is the wider angle of light output. Sure they are brighter than stock...but now without the limitation of the stock lens the new lights can have a better light dispersion.
Your pictures show just that; From the passenger head rest all the way up to the gauge cluster the difference is very noticeable:)

Really great work! I noticed exactly what you mentioned. It’s definitely brighter with a nicer white tone but it does also have much wider dispersion across the cab. They completely overpower the dim OEM dome light in the rear and don’t have any bright ‘hot spots’ directly under the lights. Good stuff!
