I've never handled many pistols. An engineer I worked with as a conductor, a gun nut and a Kimber guy, told me I should get a glock. Went to his gun store and I liked the glock. It doesn't hurt I can shoot it pretty good. Not going to win any competitions but I can at least protect those pretty girls of mine if needed. Now my wife wants a pistol so we're open to suggestions

 

Sig P938 is a good choice, but it's a 1911 battery of arms.

Remington makes a new .380 here in HSV, that my wife likes.

The local range here will let you use their range guns. I went a few times cycling through all the guns they had. Came down to a Sig or Springfield. Ended up with the Springfield. It was nice to get a feel of how they all felt in my hand, return to center, and kick. I wasn’t looking at the accuracy on them, but the grouping.

 

Hoover tactical does this.....for a fee. Plus you have to buy their ammo. . My BIL and FIL both have 380s. S&W and I think a Remington. I'll have to borrow those and try them out.

 

Saw this guy on Columbiana Road in Vestavia.

 

I don’t really like .380. They kick hard for a small round. I have a Ruger LCP but I should have gotten the LC9.

The sig wouldn’t be my first recommendation for a woman shooter. Recoil management isn’t the easiest.
