Ripple has the strongest real world use case of any crypto IMO. Worth holding, especially now that banks are starting to use the system

That will help, but it's still slow as hell. And consumer markets are crumbs compared to international money transfers.

I haven’t seen a single place accepting bitcoin. Kind of a risky move at this point in the bitcoin lifecycle

Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Every single place in Wichita is either an Asian fast food place or a chain BBQ place.

Why am I not surprised the Asian places picked up on accepting it first? They know that a $10 meal today paid with Bitcoin will be a 30-50 dollar meal in a few weeks with it.

We actually have 2 btc atms in Nashville. I was surprised. We have 6 whole restaurants/stores that accept it there too. This tattoo shop is the closest place that accepts it. The name of their shop is so good though:

All I’m saying is this isn’t a sustainable currency in its current state. I’m not sure who would want to take it as payment with its nature to take a huge dive. Lot of people who swear by crypto and actually want to use it as a currency rather than a commodity, say “you can’t look at the daily value, look long term”. But this isn’t the case if you’re spending it.

Until it stabilizes, taking bitcoin as payment for anything is a huge liability on anyone’s balance sheet.

That's why smart business owners accept it because they know what it can become. If they turn it over to cash daily not much risk.

That’s like accepting American up here though for daily transactions. It sounds great until you get hammered with fees. Micro transactions across any currency barrier is a small business killer.

I think bitcoin will be widely accepted at some point, but I can’t see any majors stepping up until it’s fairly stable like a standard currency.

Yeah, just based on my own small business experience in the past some bottom lines are not going to look great. Not unless they charge some sort of fee for the service.
