    Yeah thats the same philosophy around the false grip. Cradle the bar directly over your radius to best distribute force.

    My elbows don’t flare though. I guess it depends how wide your grip is. I keep my hands closer. I don’t like wide grips because of my shoulders.

    swapped a barbell between a squat rack and a deadlift platform to do cleans with, since 8/11 of the barbells at my gym are garbage

    ended up having 3 student workers and a manager come over to try and figure out why I'd do that, so I had to explain to all of them that a barbell is supposed to spin, and that they put the only new barbell on a squat rack...


    glad to see my state's highest institution of education hires the best basket weavers to work in the gym

    I had worked my way up to around 170 when I was focusing on oly stuff, but I dropped to 150 for the run


    Ive made it a point to not know what my time actually was
    the goal was just to finish this year. it was baaaaaad though. Got excited and fucked my pace.
    was only supposed to run 2-3 mile increments at a time before breaks, ended up running 14 miles straight, then absolutely dying the last 12 lol

    Sitting just shy of 180 though. Fat. I like to be lean at 165 but my weight class caps at 181 and it doesn’t make sense to be on the low end trying to compete with guys at the top end so I gotta figure out how to be lean and heavy at the same time :hungry:

    I couldn’t finish a marathon. Even if they let me ride a bicycle. Props to you. I knew you weren’t far off from me. I’m working back toward my Goal of 175. I’m sitting at a fat 167 right now.

    Running a marathon isn’t that hard. Its one single time pushing yourself to no end.

    The training is MONTHS of getting up at the ass crack of dawn to push yourself to no end every day to prepare.

    Race day itself sucked don’t get me wrong but was cake compared to the prep.

    People think its a huge feat but really, any healthy person could do it.

    So never say never. :thumbsup:
