5x7s was what was in there so it was an easy swap for me. IIRC, your '97 has a different size speaker in the xcab. Maybe round 6.5" ers. :notsure:

Any reason for priming the whole truck? I plan on doing mine when I get the time but I was just gonna sand the whole truck down and prime the areas that I sand to bare metal.

Primer acts like a thin filler and is good for prepping all surfaces not just bare metal.

I know that but raptor liner can be sprayed over sanded paint so I was just curious as to why he did the whole truck as opposed to certain areas. Common misconception is that you have to fully primer a vehicle to paint it. I was just wondering why he did the whole truck is all.

Maybe he wasn't aware, but either way it is better form to totally prep and smooth beforehand even if he is putting on rough texture coating like liner. Cheap Maaco job yeah I'll just sand the rough paint, only reason I'd do that anyway was to sell it for a quick buck. But actually keeping the vehicle... def sanding smooth, filling and primering, resanding, reprimering, then paint and wet sand and top coat. Gonna be a nice paint job when he's done with it, won't have the chipping issues some liner jobs have.

Oh for sure. I'm definitely gonna make sure mine is all smooth before raptor lining it. I'll be interested to see how it turns out, should look good.

Are you asking if a rear diff lock was an option on a 2002 xtra cab? Yes, if it has the TRD package, it will have a rear locker.

Not sure I understand your questions, but I believe all TRDs were V6s. So the only way it would have an elocker is if someone swapped one in.

I have also heard you could get the elocker as an option on non TRD trucks, but I've never seen that configuration.

It was a write in option.

But you can get trd offroad with a 4 banger. Just wasn't that common.

Easy to just look at the diff. The locking mechanism is on the driver side next to the Pinon.
