    If anyone has a Benchmade and wants to make the action as smooth as butter literally. Take the knife apart and polish the bronze bushings with mother’s mag and aluminum polish on a paper towel in between your fingers. Then the tang of the blade. A little clp or knife lube and it’ll open like glass.

    Wife let me get a DDM4V5 for Christmas last year. Got the magnifier for that rifle but with the government barrel optic and magnifier it was heavy as all get out. Moved to colt and feels good. Put a MRO on DD and now feels good. That DD is like a BMW. Smooth shooting as can be.

    Zt makes a great knife,

    Bearings have pros and cons, they aren’t as strong as bushings because the contact surface with the blade is significantly smaller, also bearings get dirty way way faster than bushings because of the air gaps in the pivot.
    But they are smooth as butter when the pivot is clean.

    Steel is a toss up depending on the knife, my newest contego has m390 and this new 940 has s90v. Those are both considered super steels. S30, s35vn, elmax are all going to be very close.

    Both Kershaw and Benchmade CS are amazing.
