Your V3’s look way brighter than stock. Is it your camera or is it just me? I didn’t see a huge difference when I installed mine

    Hi Rob,
I watched the video on my cell with the volume turned off and just skipped ahead on the installation to the segment showing the gasket and the clearance. I wasn't aware that there was a range of clearance options available and limiting wind noise makes perfect sense. Maybe I should watch the entire video "with sound" this time! Appreciate you clearing this up for me as well as for anyone else that may have done the same thing. Open mouth, insert foot. :anonymous:

Hey no worries. The Prinsu is popular because it's very modular. Besides the roof mounts itself, everything else is adjustable.

    Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays.

The camera may be a little deceiving but mine definitely were a lot brighter than the stock ones. I’m really happy with them.

Innovited 35w 5000k HID kit - works perfect with no flicker and no bounce, also matches the DRL pretty well. Always my go to brand for HID

Superbrightleds.com 'Natural White' LED for interior excluding the vanity lights, also did the license plate lights

Nokya Hyper Yellow H11 bulbs for fog lights (super bright, very clean looking yellow like factory Lexus fogs)

Would it be too much to ask y'all to scramble up some pics? I'd love to see the difference between the 5/6K, if I could tell in the photos. Plz!

Love the Innovited kits, have ran them in my M3's, Supra, and pretty much all my other vehicles that haven't come with factory HIDs installed.. Never understood why people vouch so much for the Morimoto as the only one that works with Tacoma's lol

I have a 2016 Limited. On 3 occasions when my car has been in for service I have been given a Sport to drive for a few days, so I have had the opportunity to drive the Sport on the same back roads route I drive my Limited on a daily basis. The Sport is rougher and harsher than the Limited without a doubt, and as the suspension gets easily upset, I find that this does not translate into better handling, just the opposite. The OR, on the other hand, (and I've driven my son's OR on the same roads) is more compliant, and remains significantly more "planted" than either the Sport or the Limited, which is easier to "handle". Body roll is about the same in all three, but the OR allows you to go faster over the same rippled asphalt. Maybe the Sport can pull better numbers on a smooth surface, but in real everyday situations the OR gives you much better control.
I got rid of my Hitachis and put Bilstein 5100s on my Limited, and it approaches the OR, but no quite there. I suspect that the OR and Limited springs are different, and the 18" wheels versus the OR 17"s and the tire differences also contribute. There is a particular curve with rippled asphalt that would make the Sport and the Limited "side-step" that the OR doesn't even know it's there. With the Bilsteins the Limited is now significantly more controllable on this section of road. And that's the acid test for me.

With larger tires and a larger rolling circumference, and if you do not calibrate your odometer and speedometer to the new diameter/circumference, your speedometer is going to underestimate mph, and your odometer is going to underestimate distance traveled. Amount of gas used is probably not going to change that much, unless you go to much bigger tires, then other factors come into play. I am not saying that this is the ONLY reason for less mpg with larger tires, but if you rely on the truck's computer for your mpg's it will read less than your actual mpg.

I checked these out on Amazon.com, it says the price is only $40 for the H11 kit...is that a for real price? Everything else I've seen is $200+.

Shouldn't they be way brighter than stock? Even the V1's looked to put out both more light, as well as brighter light.

Any pics you can share of your V3's while blinking? Or video?

Not a problem, raining here so when it clears up I will be able to take the camera out and grab some shots.
Will take some shots of the LED and fogs also, my Tacoma has 523 miles on it right now and I planned on documenting each 'modification' I do so this will get me started lol.

    This is correct.
They are $40 through Amazon, stop paying so much for kits because 'everyone recommends them' - they likely jumped on the bandwagon too and think they are the best possible - this isn't the case. Not knocking other brands, but I know from my experience.
I use to sell HID kits and had a site for when they were super popular and everyone wanted them before people wasted money on LED bulbs that don't project far.

MAKE SURE you order the AC kit and not the DC kit ($29). The AC is what you want ($40).
Make sure you LOOK at the connections also as some are reversed, if you turn them on and one doesn't light - it's likely because the connection is backwards, simply reverse it but pay attention and you shouldn't have an issue.

My response to this is that I owned roughly 14 Ford trucks and 3 Toyota trucks before the 3rd gen. IMO the Sport suspension was very close to my last 2014 F150 which was a plus to me. After driving it for 16 months I switched to all 4 Bilstein shocks with my KO2 tires. Now it rides like a dream and I can say the Sport shocks were indeed too stiff. Just didn't realize how stiff until I made the switch. I did not have the luxury of driving an OffRoad for comarison. When I bought mine there were only SR and SR5 trucks available to test drive in access bodies in my area. I was driving a 2008 Prerunner double cab and did not want another double so my test drives were extremely limited. In fact I had to drive hundreds of miles out of state to find an access cab 2 wheel drive Sport. I am extremely pleased with the feel of my suspension with the 5100's.
