Associating their brand name with faux products was a silly move to begin with, and then they shipped out clearly defective product :wave:

On the cheap? One supplier selling them for $80 said they’re 2 months out.

Oh maybe you can’t order yet? I just saw they have them on alibaba. If I didn’t have one already I’d look into getting one.

Anyone got a link to the Gen 2's? Guess I'm too dumb to find any other than the OEM $400 ones.

Thought they were suppose to be in Tuesday?

I get it....import from China and export to U.S customers. I do it for a living, but lying to your customers about dates, not answering questions, ignoring people. Not good business practice....

I’m getting the same run around on my lights I ordered from them. “Ups is slammed.” Righttt ups has been slammed for a whole week? More like they don’t have products in stock but don’t reflect that on their website. I finally got the guy to admit that they are out of stock and their resupply should show up next tuesday. He still says my order was shipped which is a load of crap. They just created a tracking # and are saying it’s “shipped”. Great way to treat a customer. Also I love the radio silence on here. Just so everyone knows the only phone they are answering is their shop phone #

I don’t see why anyone would attack OP on this. They brought a product to the forum that people wanted at a decent price. His supplier fucked him and went around thier back. Regardless of what OP was paying for them, nobody was forced to buy them.

The problem lies with how OP had maintained radio silence and lied to his customers.

I guess I missed that. Don't get me wrong. I'm not necessarily defending them. I was going to buy their lights before I read the reviews on customer service.

How do you even know it was the same supplier?
Getting a product from china and thinking you'll have exclusivity is a bit naive. They care about dollar signs, not who can/cannot buy it.

How many factories in China have been convinced that the market for this grill is strong enough to produce? I doubt two.

I would bet more than that. They are also produced in Taiwan as well. Regardless, I'm not in the market for one.. but I know how over-seas manuf. goes.
Not faulting OP at all for releasing the product. There was clearly a demand so he worked on the supply side. But when the supply gets whored out, you have to adjust accordingly or offer something that the competition lacks. In this case, members banked on the customer support... but from the last half dozen pages, it seems not.
