Thanks! I think it looked even better when it was freshly sandblasted.

If you need a step by step I can probably provide one but it's simple.

That would be great. There's English on the back but it's not very helpful. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to use the ball joint press to get the old broken ball joint out.

Have you removed the snap ring first? BJ press is simple find a cup that the whole joint assembly can fit in and that will go on top of one of the cup holders on the bottom of the press. Then find a cup that presses on the rim of the joint on top and use a cupholder on top of that then start tightening the forcing screw (you're gonna feel like chuck fuckin' norris it takes a lot of leverage or muscle). Before you go ham though, take a couple pics and I can tell you if it is setup right, don't wanna go breaking the press or forcing it sideways.

So this ball joint is actually broke, only the rubber dust cover and base remains. The stud and ball is gone. I don't know if it still has the snap ring or wire tie on it still.

Nope, close but that will just break the press, the cup that is closest to the forcing screw is too small and still pushing on the joint, the joint needs to be able to be pushed into that cup. Otherwise that is close enough to work. Might need a longer cup on the others side to push through all the way...

@BartMaster1234 Also make sure you have removed the snap ring, it is too dirty for me to see if it is still there.

Would almost guarantee if he didn't actually remove it, it's still there. It's fairly thick and prolly hasn't rusted away.

Since the ball joint is broken I think the press kit includes a sort of stud to simulate a ball joint stud which is what I was using. If you saw the other pictures I tagged you in you'll see how I set it up.

I saw that and it'll work as long as you up the size of the receiving cup but the snap ring is still there if you haven't removed it, it goes around the joint body.... should be here...

Oh I'm not thinking. The receiving cup has to be big enough to hold the press against the control arm right?

    Found the snap ring.

Right. How can I forget. lol.

I'm having trouble with this damn snap ring. I have snap ring pliers and it keeps snapping back into place without giving me the chance to jam some pliers or a screwdriver under t.

I was just using the snap ring pliers wrong. Disregard my previous statement, haha. It launched out of the ball joint and hit the wall. Attempting to press now. @Speedytech7

Are your pliers straight or right angle, easier with right angle because you can jam them straight down and spread without the tips going on an angle and slipping. Might have to jam a small screwdriver under first then spread it a bit.

Overheat easier... but even then something else would have to be wrong. It won't protect as well but no real harm if changed soon.
