Seeing the road salt covering every square inch of my truck after the first snow makes me REALLY hope my bedsides stay rust free after I hacked half of them off :sawzall:

Are you still considering the 295’s? I’ll definitely consider those next. I’d probably run 285 75 17 if they made something comparable for 16” wheels.

I just threw my 255/85s on my SCS F5’s with the 3.5 BS and I’m much happier with them. Going to run them out until they’re dead but that shouldn’t be for another 40k or so. After that I’ll either go 295 or 315. Decisions for later down the road haha

Cali raised with their “stealth” mount. For the price it’s really pretty good.

Good stuff happening with your build! Random question and not sure if you've had the experience... If you're sleeping in the camper shell with the tailgate and camper closed, will the swing out arm have to be open? I sleep in my camper shell and interested in buying the swing out bumper. Just curious if you've had any experience... Thanks in advanced!

That was one detail I did wonder about before getting the swingout too, and yep it does need to stay open. You *might* be able to somehow get it to shut if you really tried but then I’d be worried about whether I could get it back open or not since the latch can be a little stubborn.

So in some ways that might be an issue if you’re interested in “stealth” camping, but I figured for myself the only camping close to civilization is an occassional Walmart parking lot so it’s not too big of a deal.

Thanks for the info! It's been one of the things that I've been debating since I don't want anyone or very strong wind to lock me in while sleeping.

There is a locking pin that keeps it open, so wind wouldn’t be able to close it. Someone playing a prank on the otherhand.. :p

Knowing my luck it'll be friends playing a prank, getting stuck and them being too dumb to open it back up! ha ha ha...

Haha thank you! It’s mild compared to lots of people here but it does most everything I need it to at the moment

Truck looks good. I'm back and forth on tires right now...Probably going with the Cooper ST Maxx but not sure if I'll run 255 or 285. Any issues getting the 255s you were running to balance?

Just less metal to rust now

Did not have any issues with the 255’s but did with the 285 ko2’s (I might have mentioned that here). The 255’s/ST Maxx were great and I wouldn’t hesitate to run them again.

Met a local guy that has a Ursa Minor popup camper on his Wrangler. Gotta say that's a pretty epic and low profile camping setup :anonymous:

Very nice looking build! The rear bumper is awesome. What OME springs did you go with on the front and rear? I've got a 2011 and looking at OME now. Like the way your truck sits.

Thanks! The front has the 887 coils with a 1/4” spacer on the driver’s side. The back has Dakar leafsprings. With the topper and bumper it’s nearly level front to back with no rake. I first had 885 springs and the rake was pretty substantial (should be a photo on the 1st page).
