I'm not guaranteeing anything, that's just what I've read on these forums.

Just to update this, these part# are not a direct swap for 2nd gens. I ordered these have my mirrors apart to install this evening and the backing plates clip on totally different then the stock glass. Not sure if the part the glass clips onto can be obtained from the sienna mirrors and swapped onto the 2nd gen mirrors. I will have to investigate further.

This was nerve racking for me as well, I ended up using a plastic tire lever (the kind used for removing bicycle tires from the rim) and aimed for the most accessible clip and worked it off with that. After the first one pops off the remaining ones come off really easy.

I did it by taking the litter cover off. You can get to at tab through there. After you have it off once, it pulls off easier the second time.

Do they have these with the BSM yet? Or do they only work for Tacoma’s without it

You can move the indicator light over to the RAV4 mirror, the plastic backing is the same so the wire routing clips and window in the plastic is the same. They problem is there isn’t a “window” for the light to get through the mirror glass very easily like there is on the correct glass (the window is the same printed pattern as the indicator logo). It should work okay at night, but probably wouldn’t be bright enough during the day.

Because the limited RAV4 has a BSM system I guess they don’t think it needs two forms of blind spot mirror.

I never really used the BSM so I decided not to go through with the mirror replacement. Instead I bought the Ultimate custom mirrors and couldn't be happier.

Thanks for the details, took me about 5 minutes after reading through this. My mirror actually had to other electrical connections, I assume for BSM which I do not have on my 17'TRD OffRoad

I did my driver side a few days ago while doing the meso ultimate led turn signals. Sorry I did not do both. Awesome to see an extra lane next to me. Had a near miss on passenger side yesterday. Ordered that mirror.

Let me be one to add, when removing pull harder. Seemed very sketchy but after I got frustrated I pulled really quick and off it came.

The mirror defroster connections would not come off either. Had to have a friend press down on the connection while I used pliers to pull it off. They go back on so easy.

I love being able to see with the convex mirror. And to anyone thinking the passenger side isn't worth it, it's true during the day it's not the easiest to see cars but you can look out the back corner. However at night it helps to see headlights coming up beside you.
