Hi, new to forum (and tacomas). I looked underneath my 2017 Off-road and noticed the exhaust is the lowest point, does anyone have a link or recommendation for a reroute kit?

I'm considering getting some light duty skid plates to keep branches and small stumps from catching while bumping around trails and two tracks. And new bolt-on skid plates require an exhaust reroute.

    Thanks in advance

I believe pelfreybilt offers a skid plate in which no reroute is needed.

A lot of people go to local muffler shops and hotrod shops to have them run the reroute.

A skid plate is good but you can gain about 1-1.5" of clearance if you reroute.

I went to a local muffler shop that is well known, Got the reroute done in a half hour for 65$. Went with pelfreybilt skids too. I also have a 2nd gen but i don't think theres a difference with the exhaust routing between the gens.

When you go to the muffler shop, are they typically smart enough to reroute it properly? What does the correct path look like so I could explain to them what I’d need.
