Welp ac/heater isn’t functioning correctly, had orangutan come by to look at it since they installed it 4 years ago. Coil condenser has a major leak, and something else, so even with it being in warranty, still looking at $2400 which mainly consist of a good $1100 labor. Merry Xmas house. Of course had my in laws cherping in my wife’s ear, just buy a new unit it’s like $4k, I was wel that’s $1600 more and also what cheap ass unit are they talking about.

 

I've got a buddy who does a.c. work want me to ask if he can get a deal?

 

That would be cool, since it’s the holidays they can’t even do anything other then get me there estimate until Tuesday and I paid $300 for there membership thing to save a grand off the original total, so even if I jumped ship I’m not out a ton if I can save a ton. But from the quote it seems on par with most charges unfortunately, after labor, and all the actual parts and dealing with the warranty and so on.

 

My AC went out completely in July, 2 days before I deployed... timing is always perfect for these things.
