How Good Are These?

Are these worth the money besides adding looks, i reallu need better reverse light and have a cracked tail light so i'm either gonna get another stock one and add some lights or get a pair of these, are the reverse a lot brighter then stock, will they be enough, after all theyer leds?

They are really great. Theey hook right into your hitch. They have 2 kinds, one has the ball hitch/reciever coming threw it, so the light unit never has to be removed.

The second just hooks into your hitch, but does not have the opening for your reciver to pass threw.

I have a 2009, with the factory hitch. The second gen trucks with the factory hitch can not use the one that the reciever passes threw because of clerence between the top of the hitch and the bottom of the bumper. This hitch clamps around the hitch with "u-bolts", and there just is not enough room.

These lights have 2 55watt lights in them, so basically they are like head lights for backing up.

 

those are good lights....BUT 1st gens have a 4-pin setup. no 7 pin so it might be a hassle to convert it...

 

No, not at all. The lights have only 3 wires...hot, ground and something else.

I took the 3 wires, they were bare ends (no conector) and used those "quick splice" connectore to the stock wires in the 7-pin housing. All you'll need to do is the same OR you can buy (may even come with it) a 4 pin plug and wire the wires from the light into that to plug into your 4-pin.
