Crank position sensor melt down :reason for truck just dying

Actually I remember my civic doing the same thing when the cps sensor went out. It used to shut off while driving. I guarantee thats what the problem is.

 

So brand new 2017s still have cps issues? I thought toyota had traced it to a "bad batch" on the the first 2016s that rolled off the line...

Thank you guys. So so much have the new part now. Gonna do the work tomorrow. Toyota paying for the part then I’m taking it to them Tuesday they are giving me a truck for the day getting the brand new part from Toyota put in just to make sure it is all correct and a won’t have a dime out of my pocket. I just didn’t want it on a trailer. I don’t trust people with my truck it’s like my very expensive wife.

 

Sounds like the CPS if so it's an easy fix

This is why I didn’t want it on a trailer lol. Thanks guys. I’m so glad I found this forum. You guys just saved me a nervous breakdown! I hate that my truck is sitting in my garage unable to be driven :/

 

You have done some nice mods, be ready to find alot of stuff you didn't know you needed
