No kidding. The 2BT has almost 100 more lb-ft of torque than the 2RZ.

Not to mention it makes most of its power by 1200-1500RPM and maxes out at 3750 or so

That won't do anything for speed, would it? Just power I assume

I’ll be running a holset hx30w to start with but then going twin turbos after awhile.
I have the pump turned up a quarter turn away from runnaway at the moment so we will see how it does before I go any farther.

That'll be fun, HX 35 with .63 AR is cheap and bolts right up too if you aren't ready for twins (which will be sick)

@BartMaster1234 Diesel power is very different feeling it could be fast if geared aggressively cause it can push a really steep gear set, but I have a feeling with 40s he won't do that haha

The hx30w is the best single turbo for a 4bt other then an he221. But the 44mm hx30w im getting will work great as a single and awesome for twins when I get there l.

As for hearing I’m going to stick with 4:10’a so my speed at 1900rpm is 62 with 42” tires.
And for off-road my atlas 4 will shine.

    No no
I’ll run a single hx30 for now till I get all the bugs worked out. Then
    When I go twins it’ll be the hx30 over a 12cm hx40

So it'll be a dual stage system? I haven't seen many diesels do that. I'll be really interested to see how that all fits in a Tacoma

Look alittle something like this. We will see how it all fits eventually. But need to get it running and driving first.

King pin Chevy Dana 60. Obviously the wheels won’t work since they are 5 lug. Have to dismount them so I can tuck them in farther and make sure everything will clear. Just wanted a 40” tire sitting there so I can check everything instead of going off measurements.
And I have 3 different style of hubs I’m going to try when it gets moving.

Its Got stock shafts in it at the moment. Will probably go 35 spline chromos eventually.
I’d like 35 spline rcv axles but I’m not forking up the money for them hahah

How are you adapting the Cummins tranny to accommodate a transfer case?

I can't imagine those old UPS trucks were 4x4 - but that would be cool. Haha.

He mentioned an Atlas t-case, they're a very popular universal divorced tcase known for strength and control.

I’ll be using an adapter from Novak adapt.

Not going to be divorced. Adapter will let it bolt right up!
