After reading through virtually every thread in here about wheels/ tires I am still torn on my decision. Bought my truck in May and have started doing some of my own things to it. Recently put on a 3 inch lift. Previous owner was running 275 55 20 and I absolutely hate it. About to buy 17s with the ridge grapplers but have absolutely no idea if I should go with 265 or 285s. Or if I should just go with 18s and run 275s. Looking for at least a 32 inch tire. Any feedback is appreciated. thanks.

I had 285/70 17s for 2 years. nitto TG G2. Loved them. Around Colorado they were a great all WX tire. Especially, snow. Now I have 265s because I wanted to see if there was a difference in the size and feel in drive conditions. There’s definitely more bounce with the 285 and now the truck feels more planted. I’m still getting used to how “twitchy” it feels now with less rotational mass. I think I’ll probably stay with this size and add a spacer. A narrower tire is better for snow (not an issue where I live now) but I at least know I won’t be wanting for them.

255/85R16 and 285/75R16 are the most popular sizes for a 33" tire. With the 285s you may or may not have to trim and do the CMC. Here are my 285s, love them:

Also I was looking at a -12 offset. I know this will make the wheels stick out a little more but would that make it easier or harder to fit larger tires as opposed to a 0 offset? thanks everyone

I have 265 75 16 and love them.I am glad I did not go with 285's. Once my lift is on I will have plenty of room for suspension travel..............

I just bought 265/75/16s over the 285/75/16s and STILL second guess my decision... lol...

Also second guessing my decision on wheels.... wanted Ray10s over Method NV's mainly due to the extra neg. offset, but just wasnt willing to put in an application / interview for the privilege of buying some wheels.
