Is a snorkel ugly?

Wow!!! I sold my business's and retired at 41 and thought I was doing great.
And if your on the road 8plus months a year???
1. Your homeless
2. You must not have a life
3. You have a great reality show
But to be sure if your "wheeling " 8 months all month you have me beat there !!!
But....I kinda doubt it

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Some people put on a snorkel, and some put on a flag grill with a skull and two crossed ARs with Raptor lights. Each his own And some people drive around town with a god-awful set of antlers and a red nose on their truck.

 

I like my snorkel and haven’t even used it for anything remotely what it’s designed for. Yet.

 

I think the 3rd gen snorkel is pretty hideous in pics. I saw @17taco4x4's truck last weekend and thought it looked better in person.

I understand the need for some to have them and I will most likely add one to my truck but hope they come up with something thats a little better looking. If I do I will get one for dust as I dont really want to take my truck into water deep enough to need a snorkel. Theres way to many electronics I would worry about damaging. Also I want all the Mall Crawler/EAF points I can get to go with my trail pin strips, I mean Mall door dings.

 

I think I just stumbled on an idea to help me retire early. I’ll design a really, really good looking Snorkel, maybe with ‘TRD’ on it, that is completely non-functional, but looks gnarly, and adheres with double-sided tape. Then you could get the cosmetic upgrade to your truck, without cutting holes, or having the thing be ugly because it’s a functional item.

I’ll call it the “Bro-breather”.

I used to think snorkels were ugly, till I hydrolocked my engine. Stock bumper, probably could do without. Aftermarket bumper, and like going through water, I would recommend.

I honestly dont care what tacoma mike does and doesnt doubt. Im going to continue doig things in my prime while your old ass dreams about hitting a trail on the weekends when your “life” allows.

Careful with those, snorkels can cause stupidity.

 

Honestly would probably make millions. People buy hood scoops on civics and people would buy snorkel for no reason too.

 

I don't think it "causes " stupidity, maybe it brings out the stupidity that already exists .

 

Way back in high school I worked in an auto parts store. We sold fake car-phone antennas (yeah I’m old). Anyways they were these little metal curly-cue antennas that stuck on with double-sided tape to make it look like you had a car-phone in your car. Anyways.....they sold like hot-cakes. Couldn’t keep them in stock. Go figure.
