Hey guys I've got a small problem, I have a young man that just turned 11 and his shooting skills are getting to be better than I can help him with. I posted 2 videos on YouTube under his name Elijah Jarmon/ ar15 he had just turned 10 in these videos and has only gotten better. He is shooting bowling pins at 30 feet in these videos. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I’ll watch the videos tomorrow but I can tell you this without watching them.
Once he learns the fundamentals it’s all practice from there, have him start shooting longer range if he wants to, as he gets older and get better at longer range have him start practicing at closer range with a shot timer, if he strives for accuracy and speed all he has to do is practice and he will improve without someone “teaching” him, he will figure it out.

Well shoot... He is better than me too, id say he is off to a good start. Maybe hang them pins from a rope and let em swing after the first hit and that would have real world help for sd situations should one ever arise.

Start looking at USPSA and 3Gun competitions. They are both very friendly and young shooters are usually looked after and guided very well.

He is starting to to shoot something similar to idpa at the local indoor range. And when we shoot pins they are at 45 ft. now. He is also shooting water bottles at 400-500 yards with my 6mm. Now he wants to get into archery. I think I need a second job to keep up with the reloading supplies. We are thinking about sending him to the NRA Whittington Center. Does anyone have any experience with them?

    LOL.

Meanwhile, anybody is free to leave and they'll rant and rave abut how they're gonna do it, but they won't. It's not Comifornia, it's Libr'lfornia. If you keep going left, you get your guns back.

Anyone have experience with a FNX-9? I'm tempted to go pull the trigger on one as a christmas gift to myself.

I shot a friend's FNX-9 at the range a few weeks ago. Nice balanced gun.
Just another gun....I have a Walther CCP 9mm (gas ported) as a daily carry. We also shot that....he liked the Walther better, grip and 'feel' wise when shooting.
Regardless you can't go wrong with the FNX-9.

I can't speak to the FNX-9 but I have an FNX-45 and it is one of my favorite pistols to shoot. Probably one of the smoothest shooting .45s I have ever fired and the 15rd .45 capacity is quite nice. Oddly enough my favorite 9mm is my Walther PPQ, the trigger on that thing out of the box is pretty hard to beat.
