275f smoked and took about 3hrs and some change for a 6lb prime rib and that including rest time. I pulled it out the smoker at 125.

11lb was in the oven, but no one here cares about oven cooking lol

If you want to just have food show up with zero effort, get an electric. If you want to learn to smoke, get the Weber Smokey mountain. You can find the 22.5 on sale for under $250 if you are patient.

My wife would disagree with this one, she's med-rare or nothing and steak sauce is for those who can't cook.

Glad the sauce works and that the wife likes it! Yeah I spent my first 4 years in the Navy in San Diego. When we were in port LOL.

I really wanted to try your brown sugar and soy glaze on grilled shrimp today. Made my brine for smoked Salmon with that (and salt water) for tons of salmon that I smoked when I was in Washington State. Simple is good, sometimes the best.

Was on the rock for awhile back in the 70's including a 6 month stretch. Have 2 friends that live in Wa. State and Mass. 6 months of the year and 6 months in Honolulu. Easy to tell which months. They purchased their homes in the 70's when they were "cheap". But they are retired 0-6's me just a lowly retired Chief. They still let me hunt pheasant in SD with them :) In fact my old kitchen table is at the Admiral's house in SD. Stay warm. Wait it is 72* every day on Oahu...

And a fourth. Bet I spent and wasted at least a thousand dollars on junk smokers over the years not wanting to spend the extra money. Rather the Ex not wanting me to. Should have just got the WSM to start with and called it a day.

Hey I care, what ever it takes! Or more like works
