    Hello all o/

So i've browsed the forums a bit and viewed a few threads but just looking for some additional feedback. Been a car owner my whole life and the brake pedal resistance to actually break has always been kinda "Squishy". That's the way it is before i turn my truck over and the engine comes on. Once the engine is actually on the brake pedal becomes incredibly stiff.

No issues stopping but it has taken some getting used to. I drive a 2015 4x4 dcsb, just wondering if this is pretty normal? Truck only has 16300 miles.

    Thanks!

The same shit everyone else has.
Is the reservoir overfilled? I got my truck back from the body shop last week and noticed my brake pedal was stiffer than I remembered. The reservoir was overfilled by them when the put the truck back together. I removed the excess fluid and they are back to normal.

Another thought/option - the brakes on these trucks are vacuum assisted, make sure the line isnt damaged/disconnected.

I think your OR has the electro -boost right? It's gonna feel different than a traditional vacuum system

If it is an Off Road, it has the beefed up brake booster and the brakes are touchy to say the least. It's taken me a couple of months to get used to them. Now my wife's Tahoe gives me a heart attack every time I drive it because it feels like the brakes aren't working.

Correct. The Off Road used an electric motor to assisted the braking because of the Atrac system.

All other Tacoma use a vacuum assisted booster.

Yea it took me a while to get used to my 2011 when I had it.. that traction control system that's built into those electro units is really cool though!

Thanks everyone for your replies. I appreciate it. This makes much more sense now why there's that feeling. The brakes are definitely touchy that's for sure and it's a good thing by all means, just wanted to make sure it was normal. Ya'll are great. Cheers folks!
