Is there any chance Toyota would change up the front end of the 3rd Gen Tacoma in 19 or 20?

I'd like to see them trim down the hurking disproportionate pig nose.

It's like a hook nose and buck teeth on what would otherwise be an attractive woman.

So, I guess you don’t like the tow mater front end? Lol.

I seriously doubt any changes will be made anytime soon.

Careful what you wish for. You’ll get the hilux front end, which is even worse, as far as it having a nosey protuberance:

The short answer is no, the long answer is also no, have you looked around lately and seen how many manufacturers have similar grilles? GMC, Ford, Subaru, Mercedes, Audi, and on and on. It is a very popular style right now.

It's not so much the grill but the overly long nose. To me, from the side, the nose is too long. Maybe it's just me.

Unless you put 33" or 35" tires on the truck the front end just looks wrong.

The Tundras don't look like shit.

It's there for a reason. The actual grille and such can and will be changed sometime. The proportion and critical dimensions won't be changed because crumple zones for safety.

People complain about crap until that crap saves their.life or keeps them from getting hurt bad. Like it or not, there are plenty of people buying this truck so I'm pretty sure you are in the minority with regards to the overall look.

Perhaps I am. Everyone likes different things.

Holding out hope they slim it down a bit.

The 2nd Gen front ends fit better with the over all look of the truck.

I’m sure there will be a small update at some point, like they did with the 2nd gen in 2012, and 1st gen in 2001, but I wouldn’t bet it would change dimensions or sheet metal much, mostly bumper grille and lights probably, and wouldn’t be a huge change.
If you go based on the timetable of 1st and 2nd gens you may see something in 2022ish.

Oh, well then the answer is no because to do that it would require serious sheet metal and plastic changes which won’t give Toyota a return on investment until the Gen 4 redesign.

The Tundras look like crap. Those grills are so big they are part of the hood.

Hummmm, opinions vary on what looks good. Imagine that. Redesign this soon, yea right. Time was they did a new model every 5 years or so but 10 seems to be the new norm.
