I usually use VHT chassis paint and its a great product but retails at $8 per can. I stopped by Homedepot last night and picked up some appliance epoxy paint for half the cost. This stuff is super durable. The one downfall is that it takes a while to fully cure. It is also only available in white or black in high gloss. Id thought i would pass it along if anybody needed to paint something. Merry Christmas Y’all.

Looking around the forum I didn't see anything jump out. I'm at Eglin in the panhandle...super new and having a blast with the truck. Funny thing about the SE, there's brush and trees EVERYWHERE scratching everything. Seems like most are superficial, but I'm not willing to limit my pathfinding due to aesthetics.

Aside from painting and buffing every month or so, has anyone come up with a good solution? Had anyone tried the bed liner idea? Is it as magical as I think it is? I think I'm mostly wanting to avoid inviting rust with deep scratches.

Love reading everyone's comments/travels/mods/etc. Thanks for sharing the hobby!

Scratches are like a trophy. Either you get big trophy’s or participation trophys( small scratches). You can avoid them by waxing it right before a trip or do the ceramic coating stuff.

    Welcome to the group

What Timbo said. I have flat paint and I still get visible pin striping. Of course, I have more than a few of the aforementioned "big trophies" as well. I think of them as merit badges for no Fold Up Chair Kicks given. :D

Not sure about the bed liner thing. @GuyHuey might have some input on that, but I'm not sure how many times he's had his G1T4R in the woods since he's had it on.

Thanks. The looks on the kids faces as we plow around bushes and dive under trees is priceless. We're hooked, and as long as I can get the mud off regularly, I don't think there's any harm done.

Now the slight crack in the front fender from trying to uproot a big bush in the process....That might just need a new bumper :)

Ball joint spacers and lift blocks, am I doing it right?
Been in the woods a couple of times since the Monstaliner and no issues with scratches. I did chip a small bit off on the tailgate from dropping the gate on my cooler carrier. I guess it set slight higher when I re-installed the bumper.
