Merry christmas guys!!! We ive searched all over and am not finding a very good answer i want to put in some led headlight bulbs due to lower amp and brighter output but im seeing people having alot of problems getting certain brands to fit with the battery and air box.... does anyone have a specific brand and or part number that will fit without any mods ?? Thanks and marry christmas guys!!!

just don't get ones with large heatsink/fans on them, otherwise they will fit like normal bulbs

I had a set from VLED and they fit fine between the battery. were a bitch to get in due to the attached heatsink but managed

light "output" will not be any better than halogen (sometimes worse), they just look whiter.

yeah if they are "yellowed" then it decreases/diffuses the light output (think lamp shade vs open bulb). clean/clear front lenses let the best light out. you could also go for higher output bulbs but would need to read up on changing out the connectors to handle the wattage increase.

It's not a good idea to run led's in a reflector housing, as the light will scatter and blind other drivers. You'd be better off getting nice halogen bulbs, or doing the ultimate headlight upgrade like mentioned above. Or if you really want led's, do a projector retrofit.

    Merry Christmas!

Oh no not this led nightmare again! They really arent meant for our housings regardless, unless you buy the correct housings. Theres a thread on here about this and many use Osram german 60+watt bulbs with upgraded harnesses for more light output than the leds that just scatter light every where thats not needed.
