I want a bull bar for parking in the city and running over/through trees, cars, pedestrians, hipster cyclists in skinny jeans, etc etc...

I have searched for tube style bumpers and have given up... any bull bars that anyone has actually hit something with and said "wow, that thing worked"???

oxymoron?... just seeing if anyone has had a collision or anything with the smaller westin or aires type bull bars... the $150-$350 range bull bars... not a bumper.
I realize a bumper is stronger than a bull bar :)

Most are hollow and very weak. Mainly for looks(unfortunately bad) and maybe mount some lights. I would think it will cause more front end damage in a wreck due to the added length. That was the first thing I got rid of when I bought my truck.

Avid offroad bar is pretty strong. I havn't hit anything, but I think it would hold up just fine.

OEM running boards and roof rack. Yellow fog bulbs and WeatherTech mats and window visors.
Avid is the one i wanna get, but the westin was a gift from pops. Maybe just need to find a tree to run into.....
