That might work. He only does this when no one is home. My other two dogs are fine. All three are in the backyard while we're all at work/school. Can't crate him for 9-10 hours every day.

I get that. If I have to crate mine all day for work(I'm gone 13-14hrs) I take an extended lunch to come home and let him out for 30 minutes of play(used to feed him also but have since dropped him to 2 meals a day). I dont trust him alone in the back yard with no one home as I am positive he will find a way to escape. He figured out how to open the door on his first crate and broke the side of his second crate that I was borrowing from my sister. Now he has what I call his "Alcatraz" crate(I've linked it before, its a smithbuilt heavy duty, linked in the products discussed at the bottom of the page) that should be inescapable! He's great in the crate at bed time but any other time someones around or hes alone he gets very anxious and wants to be with someone.

Love the red/copper husky's! I think I'll probably get a second one in a couple years if I still have a good yard. I'll either go red/copper or a typical black/white. Though I may go with a different breed just to mix it up but its hard to say no to a husky. It will probably also be a mix since I want to rescue all my future dogs. Current one is a 3/4 husky 1/4 GSD, rescued at 8-10wks old. Hes 7 months now and a typical rebellious teenager.

Got an update from the gf after she took puppy to the vet. He has pneumonia, but is expected to be 100 soon. Also got a new collar.

My co-pilot, love this dude but holy sh** does he shed like noone's business. That being said, anyone got some good recommendations for keeping dog hair in check in their tacomas? I'm debating weathertech floor mats because vaccuum/lint rolling the carpeted ones is becoming a giant PITA.

My issue with WT’s was my husky’s fur managed to work itself into the cover material. It is a loop style material and became a pain in the ass to get out even with a heavy duty vacuum.

Give him a good brushing before getting in. That will cut down a bit. I've used your standard yellow dishwashing gloves (with a vacuum) to remove hair from carpet and upholstery with good results. Way better than a lint roller.

Excellent, thanks for the suggestion. I'll give that a shot on our next ride-around to lessen the fur-coat effect.

This, 110% so bad that when I am incredibly bored i'll try and get it out individually and then eventually just get a case of the fuck-its. That said, I wouldn't have it any other way. Dog in the side seat is always fun.

I've used window squeegees on my couch before. For some reason the hair sticks to it as you drag it across.
