Good luck man trying is the best part lol. Doctors told my wife when she was young she was super fertil so we've always been super careful to not get pregnant until we were ready. I was nervous as I knew if we had trouble it was gonna be my fault but guess I'm ok too lol

Just figure out what @tacomgee and @DannyBFresco are doing.

    Then do the exact opposite.

I stock up on Mobil 1 when it goes on sale at costco. With an OE filter. Total is around $35 after tax.

I've been using mobile 1 high mileage synthetic my last few changes, seems to do well, and Blackstone labs agrees, says i can run it safely for 7k miles between changes.

    Also, congrats!

Edit - also, what @Kelvin said, I only use oe filters.

same. Blackstone said my engine was flawless at 150k and could go 12-15k intervals but im good with 10k. I will be sending off another sample at 200k and see if anything is askew.

Think the 4.3 UZ would be any different? I’ve got 8k on my current oil

i think it all depends on what condition the motor itself is in. I changed every 7 until my lab reports. then jumped to 10k intervals. Oil visually looks the same

I’ve run Mobil 1 and Castrol. Not sure if either made any difference but usually go with pricing and rebates. Castrol Magnatec is $17 for 5 quarts through Amazon, not a bad price at all.

90k on this one. Doubt it was ever beat on in its lifetime. I usually change every 5k but I’m being lazy this time because I want to do the timing belt, oil coolers, fluids, etc all at once.
