Long for me. I wanted a truck to haul stuff around. Plus, to me the long beds look better.

I think the long bed is fugly, but it definitely has it's benefits when it comes to payload.

Long bed for sure, looks more proportionate and can fit more stuff!! But each to their own, any 2nd generation tacoma is awesome regardless of the bed length, it really comes down to what you want. everyone has their own opinions of what looks better.

hopefully they offer the same locker and atrac options in the new design with the long bed. I think they'd at least give us atrac since the gave all the new 4x4 4runners atrac, not just the trail version.

you are dead on. IF i TRULY needed a longbed, i'd get one - but they're definitely not as nice looking or as proportionate (especially for a double cab) as the shortbed.

Don't agree at all! It's a matter of personal taste. I think the short bed makes the double cab look like it's on steroids.

These are pointless debates. The whole idea that someone else should feel stupid for buying a long or short box double or reg cab because it isn't what you like is arrogance of the highest order.

Get the truck that looks good to you and/or meets your needs. F**k what anyone else thinks.

The OP asked which you like the look of better. He got 26 pages of answers. So the debate is not pointless. We are answering his question. If you don't have a prefference, chime out.

    And so I "chimed in"..heh

Plenty of pointless debates have gone far beyond 26 pages on the internet.

Oh, and I'll "chime in" whenever I feel like it champ

You seem to be the one bent about my original comment. Anyway, this is also a pointless debate and is derailing the previous pointless debate so I'll refrain from continuing this with you.

I don't like the looks of the DC long bed so I bought the DC short bed. If I have to haul anything big I just use the trailer so the SB is all I need.:cookiemonster:

Long bed but the short bed drives better.
