What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Installed my new to me, not so yellow and burnt headlights and fog lights.
This is the better of the old ones.

 

How do you have it mounted though?

 

Using the mount that has 3m sticky tape on the back... it's one of the mounting options that they have/offer I think. Unless they are different now.

 

It has a plastic clip thing that holds it and came with a piece of adhesive backed velcro.

 

Sounds about right now that you mention it... I bought it used off of someone, so by the time I got it that backed velcro pc might have been "missing". I just got some 3m adhesive from auto zone, glued it to the back of the pc and glued it to the windshield.

 

You can see it good with the angle of the windshield?

 

Yup! I just angled/turned it a bit, so it faces me a bit more. The only thing that stinks about where I put it is that when I have the sun visor down, I can't see it... but I don't really use my sun visor, so it doesn't matter to me.

NP! I'm thinking about changing the location whenever I finally get around to installing the little dash cam I got.

Haven't gotten around to installing it yet though, so for now the UG is there.

 

Whoohoo! Got my Prinsu mounted this morning! Install wasn’t too bad. The hole punch method on the weather stripping is def the way to go!

Still need to run the wires for the light bar, but that’s a project for another day.

 

Same place I have mine.

Mine came with 3M tape, no velcro option.

 

Mine is mounted in the upper grab handle hole using RAM mount hardware.

 

Does that still leave you room for a ram moun in the lower bol position for a ram mount for GPS or phone?

 

Yeah. The only issue with where I have it is that it's in the way of putting the visor down.

 

Got my hands on a Dupray steam cleaner and blasted away years of neglect.

 

I mounted mine in the top left to keep it out of my line of sight since I have a hard enough time with my mirror even after installing the ImMrYo Rear-View Mirror Lift Bracket.



Used a combination of a pocket clip from old measuring tape, a wall bracket from a book shelf that I bent to fit the curve of the windshield, and zipties with the original back bracket that came with the UG.

 

Never realized I needed a steam cleaner before but dammit I need a steam cleaner.

 

Exactly. It got me motivated to dig my old Shark steam cleaner out of the garage...

 

Inflated my wheelbarrow tire with my TPMS sensors to make sure they still work. Think I just broke the little door on the passenger cigarette lighter

 

My kids pooled their moneys together and got me the TRD aluminum skid plate for my PreRunner for Xmas. Just got done installing it and it was all plug and play, 5 minutes tops. Was at Walmart last week to buy some Mobil 1 and scored on some Bosch Icon wipers for a mere $6 a piece on the discontinued end cap (man I got to pay more attention to those end caps). Now just waiting for exhaust to cool so I can replace the round donut gasket to see if that will eradicate the annoying squeaky noise coming from the cat back connection. Anyone else dealing with that pesky noise?
