Insure your "new" truck has had the frame replaced if it's a 2nd gen. I can tell you a few times a 4-pack of knuckleheads rode to Canada pulling a 1750 Crestliner, truck packed down in the bed, boat packed down for the week stay in a cabin, zero issues. Never total weighed it but other than the fact the 2 guys riding rear seats complained about the bump stops bottoming out on the trip (mostly going through Detroit) and their asses were completely numb by the time the 16 hour ordeal was over the truck never hiccupped. Was a Tacoma a little cramped? Yeah, but that's the only week of the year like that. The other 51 weeks it was perfectly sized for me. Last advice look for a truck that the regular maintenance can be verified on. ie-a glove compartment stuffed with receipts, oil, filters, plugs, etc along with some type of "proof" the big stuff like timing belts, etc have been changed... good luck.

WTF, have you towed 6300lbs? Thats an insane amount of weight for this truck.

So, what exactly is wrong with the 2012. I have seen a couple references in this thread alluding to something.
