Took the wife's Highlander up to the snow for Christmas. Did some snowshoeing and sledding at eightmile campground near Leavenworth.

It was backwards when the pic was taken, and fixed about 5 seconds after the pic.

We parked at the entrance to 8 mile campground (which is gated) and snowshoed along the river up to NF-112. I have heard that the 7601 road is closed, but haven't seen it personally.

I thought that was how it's supposed to look in reverse.

Hey fellas! Looking for some insight on some areas outside Seattle to settle as I am starting interview processes with some companies in Washington State. Currently I am looking at some homes in Tacoma. Anyone live over there or can give a quick 30,000 ft view on some areas that would be ideal for young family with kid about to start preschool?

Stay out of Tacoma and Auburn. Maple Valley/Covington is a really good area if that isn't too far away from where you want to work. Welcome to the PNW by the way!

No problem! I like living north of Seattle personally. I'd say Redmond, New Castle, parts of Renton, Sammamish, Kirkland, Bothell are all good too. Just depends on your price range and how close to the city you want to be.

Of course it's tucked away in the fine print.

First you get to decide if you're gonna live north, south, or east. I live south, downtown puyallup. I like it. Parts of Des Moines, Federal way, and south hill are good. Bonney lake is good. Enumclaw, buckly, orting all are farther out, and the traffic can suck depending on where you work and what time of day. Pierce county is drastically cheaper to buy a house in than King county.
