A back step for when I get older, Carhartt seatcovers, 4Runner wheels, Topper, and "tats all folks"! --for now!!
I hate to say this --but here goes -- You need to see one (AC) in person, even if you have to drive a distance to see one.
Go to a dealer who has one - that is unless u have so much money that you don't care if you make a wrong decision.
All 3rd gen ac's are the same with the exception of the utility version which comes with no back seats or head rests. and even then you can remove the back seats on any of the models, but remember it is not a quick in and out process!
Good luck -- again GO see one in person if you are considering one!

I concur. It really comes down to what needs to go inside, vs what can go in the bed. With an AC cab you can get the shorter wheelbase for more off-road capabilities AND get the additional bed length. But the seats are useless and the interior storage in an AC is very limited. It's basically mostly just a waste of space behind the front seats. But if you don't need anyone to ride there, and you don't need the storage...

Personally, I greatly prefer the look of an AC over a DC because I find the proportions more in line with what I think a truck ought to look like,

    Good luck!

Agree with you on Access Cab being a more handsome truck than the DC. Disagree on rear seats being useless.

I heartily disagree with you. Our Daughters (14, 12, and tall) have been in the back many times. It isn't spacious and is a hella lot better than the 1st gens or previous. I spent a few hours in the back of a 1988. It wasn't horrible.

    I'm 6ft, 225.
